From the Owners

“When it came time to build our own home, we knew it had to reflect everything we value – not only as builders, but as a family.

We wanted a home that felt timeless. A place with warmth, character and authenticity, where every material had purpose and every space invited people to gather. Incorporating recycled bricks, reclaimed timber and natural textures allowed us to create a home with soul—one that feels as though it has always belonged to the landscape.

With a large family, creating spaces that encourage connection was just as important as creating something beautiful. We wanted a home that was equally suited to entertaining a crowd or enjoying the quiet moments that make everyday life so special.

Building Chantilly was an incredibly rewarding journey. It gave us the opportunity to challenge ourselves, refine every detail and create a home that truly represents the craftsmanship and values behind Corbett Homes.

Today, it is so much more than the home we built. It is where our family has grown, where memories continue to be made and where we are reminded every day why we love what we do. We are proud to share Chantilly because it reflects the passion, care and commitment we bring to every home we build.”

Chantilly

The Design Story

Every builder dreams of creating a home that reflects everything they believe great design should be. For Carl and Jill Corbett, founders of Corbett Homes, Chantilly became that dream realised.

Designed and built as the Corbett family’s own home, Chantilly is a deeply personal expression of timeless architecture, exceptional craftsmanship and country living. Set amongst towering gum trees on a picturesque 20-acre property, every detail was thoughtfully considered to create a home that feels grounded, welcoming and intrinsically connected to its surroundings.

Inspired by the romance of a French Provincial farmhouse, Chantilly combines old-world charm with modern family living. Recycled bricks, reclaimed timber beams and handcrafted timber posts were carefully selected to bring warmth, authenticity and a sense of history to the home. These natural materials give the residence a character that simply cannot be replicated, creating the feeling that it has stood proudly in the landscape for generations.

Designed for a busy family who love to entertain, generous living spaces flow effortlessly to expansive outdoor areas where an open fireplace creates the perfect place for long evenings with family and friends. Every room was positioned to embrace natural light and capture the beauty of the surrounding countryside, ensuring the landscape is always part of the experience of living here.

As builders, Carl and Jill approached their own home with the same philosophy they bring to every Corbett Homes project – thoughtful design, uncompromising craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail. Every finish, every proportion and every material reflects decades of experience and a genuine passion for creating homes that are both beautiful and enduring.

More than a family home, Chantilly became the benchmark for Corbett Homes – a place where ideas were explored, details perfected and a vision brought to life. It stands as a testament to the belief that the best homes are those built with heart, designed for the way people truly live and crafted to be cherished for generations.
